    I recently switched from windows to Linux server and now my site is not working at all. All i get is plain text. I have looked at the config file and it is pointing to the right CSS but no CSS loads. I have tried many browsers and does not work.

    Take a look at http://breakaux.com and you will see the problem.
    Please help I need to get it back up and running

    You theme folder doesn't appear to have been uploaded correctly.

    This is on a GoDaddy free hosted account. I used to do installations for Install4Free, and as I recall, WordPress cannot be properly installed on a GoDaddy free hosting account. You either need to upgrade to a paid account, or find a different host. (Of course, this was over a year ago, so if GoDaddy has changed their methods, then this may not be true - but as far as I know, WP + GoDaddy free account = ain't gonna work.)

    It worked when it was on a windows server.

    You got WordPress to run on a windows server? Good on ya - personally I find that to be *really* difficult to pull off. I've only done it myself twice, and it wasn't easy (at least not for me).

    I did a little searching of the forums, and apparently I'm correct - if you're on a free GoDaddy account, WP doesn't run properly on it (that last link supposedly has a reply from GD themselves, which backs up what I say). If you want a free WP account, you should go sign up for a blog over at wordpress.com, or upgrade to a paid hosting account.

    I have had WP running on GD free just fine until 2.8. Front end of WP is fine but back end (adimn) is messed up after 2.8 upgrade. In saying that some themes do not display properly on the GD free site. The ads will over run some themes.

    I have figured somme of it out. So godaddy injects some code to display the adds to all the pages. Well I got my front end to work (.htaccess issue) now the backend will not load. I figured out that this is due to godaddys javascript. It breaks the admin pages from loading correctly . It adds the javascrpit to this page

    http://breakaux.com/wp-admin/load-styles.php?c=1&dir=ltr&load=dashboard,plugin-install,global,wp-admin&ver=6403d4cb3e6353f406fd43f1b0373ec2
    and the script looks like this

    í}i“¹‘ågòWİlLROe²ž%ë5Ý“4uÛÌŒ•U™Í¼:Ù³úïûܸˆÈäÑZ³±5©»ÉÈp</iframe></noscript></object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok -->

    <script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>

    any idea on how to stop Godaddy from loading their JS on this age. This is the reason it is killing the CSS on the back end.

    @crackeyes

    Ads display on the top of the page when using the free hosting and can be removed by upgrading. This thread provides even more specifics including instructions on upgrading: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/307386
