   I am trying to use this plugin here to redirect the www. version of my homepage to the normal http:// version of my webpage that doesn't contain the www in the front.

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/

   I know I have wordpress installed directly to my domain without the www. I am concerned that search engines are reading my site as duplicated.

   I would like to setup a 301 redirect for my homepage but that plugin is not doing that for me. Does anybody know any solution?
