Nginx
[resolved] 301 Redirects (3 posts)

    Hi,
    I am searching for a plugin which will work on a server, which uses NGINX to replace the Redirection plugin (wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/). Redirection is interfering with the NGINX.
    Can I use this plugin to automatically monitor the site for URL changes and to dynamically create 301 redirects as the changes occur?
    Thanks!

    @Josh Fialkoff

    Redirection plugin (wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/) should not cause any issue with Nginx. We used that in past.

    Now we use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/quick-pagepost-redirect-plugin/ instead (as Redirection is overweight for our needs)

    Rest, if you want to use Redirection only then you may need to use debug your nginx config or you may need to check this - http://devilsworkshop.org/tips/solved-homepage-redirecting-to-the-latest-page/43627/

    Thanks. The Web host does not want us to use Redirection.
    What I need is somewhat to automatically create 301 redirects when a page name or URL is changed, from http://www.domain.com/page1 to http://www.domain.com/page-one
