   I've migrated my entire blog from TypePad to self-hosted WP. I'm not sure, but don't think you can do a 301 redirect from one domain to another - at least not one I don't have control over like Typepad.com

   What can I do to forward those links to the new blog? I have all the old/new url mappings.

   you cant .. for the reason you already mentioned.
