301 .htaccess Redirect to https

    Hi,

    So I’ve been searching around and it seems like the easiest way to get a wordpress page to use SSL is by redirecting it to a https link with the .htaccess. I have the code…

    Redirect 301 /loan-application.html https://www.sitename.com/loan-application.html

    which, from what I’ve read, should be working, yet my page isn’t being redirected to https. Can anyone comment on what might be wrong?
