I had a basic HTML website crownedstudio.com. About 2 weeks ago I signed up with blue host and registered crownedstudiosalon.com. I just pointed the DNS servers of crownedstudio.com to Bluehost. All is well! :)

My question is my basic html site crownedstudio.com ranked about 4th on Google with certain key terms that are important to my business... Do I just have to give all that up and begin again since it is now parked on top of my new domain?

anything I can do to keep that ranking??

    cydneymikel,

You should consider a php redirect at the original domain. This way you can start working on the new site's SEO while maintaining the original as well.

    doc4.

thanks for your reply. i set up 301 redirects for all pages on the original domain. i parked the original domain on top of my new domain (so typing in the old domain lands you on the new website/new domain).

i have not yet purgered the files from my old yahoo hosting account, so all the .html files exist there but the original domain is now parked at bluehost with my new domain.

maybe i have done the right thing?

    thanks again
