    Hi all,

I just noticed my google feedburner no longer update my blog feeds since 2 days ago. Not only that, it decided to sent out my old feeds (2 months old) in a big batch just the day before it started not working.

Now when I check, only my old feeds (2 months odl) are available. I wonder where are all my recent feeds gone?

I did not make any change except upgrading WordPress from 2.8.3 to 2.8.4. Does it affect it?

Also, I noticed my google feedburner feed address is feeds02.feedburner.com/shirlschong but when I log into my google feedburner account, at the feed details section, it is feeds.feedburner.com/shirlschong? I checked feeds at both addresses, they are the same – my old feeds. However, feeds at http://shirlschong.com/feed/ are the most current one, however feeds at this address don’t show up at google reader and not to my email subscribers mail box. I am just so confused.

I tried pinging, and resync in the google feedburner, it did not work. I tried to search and read, search and read, still can’t find a solution. Some reading say, I should install the Feedsmith Plugin. However, I never used this plugin and the google feedburner always work fine. Does it mean I have to install it now?

I wonder if anyone have this problem? Or does anyone know how to solve this ?

Sorry for long message here. Thanks for your time and help in advance ! 🙂

    cheers
    Shirley

    Hi all,

If your basic feed is OK, then it’s not a WP issue. If you’re using plugins to provide any of these additional feeds, they may not be compatible with 2.8.4. The basic feed, however, conforms to all recognised guidelines and should be readable by any compliant aggregator.

    Hi Esmi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I never need to use any plugin for Google Feedburner for my blog, or do I have to? I just use Google Feedburner to burn my feeds, and it works well till 4-5 days ago.

Umm….ok, if it is not WP issue, then it would have to be Google Feedburner issue. I tried posted question at their forum, but no one answer with a solution. I wonder if others have similar problems and know how to solve it?

Anyway, Esmi, thanks for your time and help. I really appreciated it.

    cheers

If your blog’s feed shows the latest posts, then the problem is in FeedBurner. Login to it and check the settings and the feed address and other things.

We really can’t help you fix a FeedBurner problem, per se. Since WP is showing the right posts, something is set wrong in your FeedBurner account.

    Hi Otto42,

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.

Nothing has been changed in my Feedburner setting. Nonetheless, I understand what you mean. I shall get help from Feedburner (only if anyone try to answer).

    Thanks again!! 🙂

    Hi all,

This is for the record here, in case other people have the same problems.

I found out why and how to fix the problem mentioned above. It is kind of a WP issue.

When I was searching and searching for solution, I suddenly realised I have not checked my Super-Cache setting for a while, so I went to it and was surprised to see a large number of cached pages as well as expired pages. I deleted them all, then went to Feedburner to Resync the feeds. And bing !! Everything solved !!! My feeds are updated , fresh and happy !

Thanks Esmi and Otto again for your time and help ! 🙂

    cheers

Ah, I had not considered that.

In WP-Super-Cache’s settings, you should add “/feed/” to the list of “forces a page to not be cached”, so that it won’t cache that stuff again.
