    I normally don't ask for much, but I would love to see some of the skilled designers out there come up with a 3 column theme for 1.5.

    A kubrick 3 column? Awesome.

    It's in the works. I have a layout. Now I only need a design...

    The mark_3 design works with 1.5. I have it running at http://www.barter-blog.com

    I tried the "dots" theme on the same site and it worked fine, though some of my layout conflicted.

    I also have a really ugly 3-column setup running on 1.5 at http://news.tom-hanna.com . It's nothing you'd want to copy (damn, it's ugly...help!), but the conversion to 1.5 was the same.

    The Mark_3 and Dots are from Alex King's style page. Every design I've tried from there http://www.alexking.org/index.php?content=software/wordpress/styles.php works just fine.

    Upload the the entire style to it's own subdirectory in the the /wp-content/themes directory and then upload a copy of index.php to the same directory, otherwise you'll get an error message telling you it doesn't have a "main template."

    Ugh. I just realized how unclear that was. Say you want to use dots. You need to upload the dots theme to /wp-content/themes/dots/ Then you need to upload index.php (the 1.5 version) to the same directory - /wp-content/themes/dots/ .

    Both the style.css and the index.php have to be present in the directory for the style (in this case /wp-content/themes/dots/).

    If there are other files, such as images, etc. you need to preserve the directory structure that the style comes with.

    Like I said, every old style that I've tried this with has worked fine.

    Hey thanks tomhanna, never thought of that. I've settled on a uber-cool thoughtmechanics template though but am still working on making kubrick a three column as well. (I suppose that would actually be a factual statement if I were actively working on it instead of taking advantage of Blockbuster's no late fee's.)

    hey Tom, I got the mark 3 and dots loaded but then I run the theme I get a blank screen. Where do I get the index.php from? I thought it was the index.php in root directory but it doesn't look like thats the one. I looked on slexkings website but could not find what to download, Thanks for your help

    Hi,

    I made a three-column theme base on the default two-column Kubrick theme. Hope you like it. :-)

    @shuai & redwings,
    In order to be able to use a WP1.2 "style" as a WP1.5 "theme" you have to follow this guide:
