3 col layout css problem (2 posts)

    Hi everyone

I am having trouble with having different colour backgrounds to my two columns. I want one column to be the body background colour and one column to be the content background colour.

I am using 3 columns, 2 left, one right. At the moment the title column, the middle one, is not long enough or close enough to the content column. You can see a screen shot here Screen shot

I have tried changing the background colour of the body tag and (this is the current code) and changing the colour of the container (which makes the far left column white from 1/2 way down). Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Julie

Without actually seeing the code it's hard to give you a defenite answer. Something to try though is to give the second sidebar container an height of 100% and the background color you want. Then just increase the width of the container till it's where you want it in relation to the body then you can add right padding to get the text back into the middle of the sidebar.
