2nd Installation?

    I am sure this has been covered, so I do apologise if I am repeating what’s already been said.
    I’m a new user and sucessfully managed to upload WP without any hassles. I was also wanting to upload WP for a second blog.
    I have checked through the files and have read that I need to change some things, but I was just wondering if that’s necessary is I want to upload WP to another subdirectory? For instance, I have my blog at http://www.getifa.com/hijinx, and I want to load up a new one at http://www.getifa.com/kendall – can I do just a straight installation again to that folder without changing anything?
    If I do, could someone please explain exactly what needs to be changed as I am a little confused on that issue as to whether it’s just file names or something within the files themselves…

    The primary thing you need to change is the database prefix found in wp-config.php. The default is wp_. In order to run another WP, you’d need to change the new install’s prefix to wp2_ or whatever, as long as it differs from the first.
