   Error 500 - Internal server error

   An internal server error has occured!
   Please try again later.

   It's the only directory that has this error. Here's what I did:

   1. Download
   2. Extract
   3. Upload to ../ps/
   5. Renamed wp-config (like the instructions say)
   4. Went to ../ps/wp-admin/install.php

   I have used multiple installations of Wordpress for different blogs on the same package (just older versions) and they work fine. I use the same process as always. Why this one? Why now? What am I doing wrong? I am afraid to upgrade the others if this will happen to them as well.

   do you have an .htaccess in the new directory? If so, delete it and try install

   Actually I do not have a .htaccess in the folder. And I re-installed to a new directory (and made sure there was no .htaccess) and still have that same error.

   I did find a .htaccess in a different directory. Could that be the problem? I removed it and am re-uploading as we speak.
