• I’m working on a self-hosted wordpress site (website.com) and every time I publish a post, I want to republish the same content on my website.blogspot.com or website.wordpress.com site.

I see I can do this with my sites that end in “wordpress.com”, but I can’t do this with my self-hosted wordpress site.

I go to My Blogs and I see the Enable button under “Post By Email” for the sites that end in “wordpress.com”, but for my self-hosted site (under Linked Blogs), the “Post By Email option is not there.

P.S. I want to work from my self-hosted site’s dashboard (and not the website.wordpress.com dashboard, or other means).

Yes, you can, but the setting for it is inside the wp-admin area on your self-hosted blog.

what you do or dont do, do set up or dont set up, on wordpress.com wont have any bearing on what goes on your self-hosted blog. You cannot admin a self-hosted blog from wordpress.com

I dont know if you can post by email to more than one blog at once. Someone else will need to chime in on that.

Yes, under wp-admin/options-writing.php I can “Post via E-mail”.

However, what I’m looking for is where can I enter in email addresses to update posts on other blogs?

For example, I’m writing a post in my wordpress dashboard. I want my blogspot blog to get updated. I have an email for blogspot where it’ll do a post by email. So where is it in wordpress that I can plug in this blogspot email address?

I just realized that the post by email options are not part of the latest WordPressMU, only single-user WP. Is this by design?
I copied the code for the settings in options-writing.php and will test it out when I have a chance. But figured I would mention this. Could not find clarification in docs.

disregard, i found the settings in the site-admin/blogs/edit form.

but i don’t think the shortcodes work. you still need Postie to mimic wp.com post by email functionality.
