I guess you have to see this on my site to believe it, and maybe it’s “me” and not the program, but on this page I have the awesome narchives (Nicer Archives) and when I sort it by category, and then look at the source code, the source code is sorted by date. YET, the screen shows it sorted by category.

    What’s going on?

I wanted to grab the source code and strip the html so I’d have a category list with post ID numbers to print out for my reference. Now, what?

I’ve got a feeling your CSS may be the problem… then again I could be totally wrong.

We’re not talking about design but actual generation of content. On the screen, if you choose SORT BY “category” and sort the data, on the screen you will see the categories and then the posts under each category.

Yet, when you view the source page, the exact same page shows the data in the SOURCE (so the generated html stuff) as sorted by month and not category.

Why would these be different? This is not CSS. This is something UFO.

Okay, problem sorta not solved but I have more information.

I’m running the latest release (1.0.2) of Firefox and when viewing narchives.php there, I get the aforementioned problem.

When viewed on the very latest release by a friend on their Linux system with Firefox, they see the source code match perfectly.

When viewed with MSIE, the source code matches the screen.

So this is still a mystery, but the mystery lies with the browser not with the template file. Whew….okay, sorta.

Lorelle – maybe you can help. I’m running the same code, but the the results are messed up; partial listing, asc/desc confusion..look here http://www.automatorworld.com/sitemap.php (try title or date ascending views to see what’s going on)

I posted over at the author’s site, be he seems to be MIA. Ideas?

Podz and/or Kaf are working on a new release of this so stay tuned.
