• Hey folks,

Just got my new blog live. It’s a Wordlr. Tumblr format with WordPress. =D

I’m experiencing a strange error though, and I can’t work it out for the life of me.

Seemingly abitrarily, the ‘date’ is omitted from roughly 1/3 posts.

It’ll be difficult to decipher without seeing the code, I realise, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced something similar, and how they solved it?

It’s not a coding issue afaik – you can see that on one ‘Image’ post the date is clearly there, but it’s vanished on the other. The ‘published’ date has remained untouched for all, so that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

Can’t get my head round it.

    Any ideas?

FYI, a different template is used for each post type. This is done within the_loop, and works by case. i.e. if post_category = image/video etc etc.

    Thanks!

  • The default behaviour for the_date template tag is to only display the full date on the first post on a given day. Subsequent posts from the same day only display a time stamp.

Try editing your theme files and replacing the_date with the_time.
