   The biggest problem so far is Widgets. I know many people have complained about this before but seriously I am tired about the fact that the team at Wordpress won't actually fix it rather tell "stories on fixing it".

   They say the following, and I have tried each and every one of them, still the widgets won't work. My whole business is in jeopardy now just because the widgets aren't moving.

   1. A number of plugins have been reported to present problems so deactivate all plugins and reactivate one-by-one to find culprit

   Ans: I have disabled all plugins and still the widgets won't move, heck even the widgets in the right sidebar won't open.

   2. In Appearance->Widgets under Screen options, try the Enable Accessibility Mode

   Ans: This is stupid solution that works for some people only. When I clicked Screen Options button, nothing happened at all. So how the hell am I supposed to Enable Accessibility Mode? Is there any other way around?

   3. Delete or refresh the browser cache

   Ans: Well I did it but still widgets won't move. I assure that it is definitely not a javascript problem since I can move things easily in the main dashboard, but when it comes to Widgets, it fails.

   So any other solution except the three points you guys outlined(wordpress you listening?). It would be really great if someone can come up with a solution ASAP. And if I hear wordpress team calming that a fix is coming soon, I am going to puke, rather than announcing just fix it already guys!!! :(

   Well i'd love to offer an immediate solution but i can't because i don't have one.

   However i'd just like to say this is not the case for everyone, and this is maybe the second post i've seen on this particular problem, not bad for software used by 1000's of users, proberly more..

   I have some suggestions and questions though.

   Did you confirm the problem with other authors?

   Tested from another PC and alternative browsers, confirm the problem carries across in other scenarios?

   Created a backup and installed a copy locally to see if the problem replicates?

   If your business matters as importantly as you suggest, there's plenty of things you could be doing to isolate the problem rather then ranting on the forum demanding someone else fix it. If you want help, then making demands or ranting on the forum about your issues isn't the approach i'd take if you want a good chance at getting assistance.... it's not a given..

   Have you considered soliciting the help of someone who can handle the problem if you don't have any real clue about how to perform a strategy based diagnosis? Perhaps a couple of bucks for a few minutes of a professional's time would put you right back in business ("My whole business is in jeopardy now just because the widgets aren't moving.") if you ask someone.

   Holy cow! Guys.. I just figured it out! All this wacky, weird, crappy stuff that's been showing up the last few days? I just went and looked on a hunch...

   dunt, dunt, DUHHHHH..... (some scary sci-fi music)...

   Ok the problem is fixed now. It was probably because I forgot to disable plugins while updating. Thanks for help!

   I thought it was ok, but I can`t move widgets either!!!!
   I deactivated all plugins while upgrading.

   What did you do ghaus?

   its a small error for loading the jquery script.You can edit it on your own using firebug, or you can try reinstalling

    WTH? Now I can move them, but not earliar this day. I haven`t done anything.

    2.84 - same problem here - on just one domain on one host so it's isolated. @mohitkr05 jquery reinstall or all of WP?

    I had this problem so I deactivated all plugins and then activated one by one. The plugin that caused the problem is WP-shopping cart. Hope that helps.

    darn... I installed shopping cart today and then it stopped working... Even after deleting it from the server, it STILL doesn't work!

    Yes...I had the same problem. Thank you clickbridge for the mentioning the problem is caused by WP-shopping cart plugin. I deactivated this and bingo! Widgets working again. I must come to the forum more often rather than trying to figure things out by myself :-)
