    Hi, I use NextGEN gallery since a long time, recently I have updated my wordpress version to 2.8.3 and NextGEN Gallery for the 1.3.5 by the automatic system... Everything is ok, but slideshow dosent work anymore... I try to change code like you said on you website like : [ slideshow id=x w=width h=height ] but it's seem the flash looking for the images emplacement... It's look loading eternally!

    Other thing... I don't see the NextGEN gallery icon on the makepage system, it's supposed to appear like wordtube and wp-poll?

    Thank you for the help!

    It's like the imagerotator don't find the XML... What can I do? I just make a normal update and I lost all of my slideshow...

    I'm having the same issue. After the updates, the slideshow stopped working at http://brownstonepark.com/activities/scuba-diving/ and other pages that include a slideshow.

    The picture list (gallery) at the bottom of the page works, as does inserting an individual image (just above it). The specific issue is with the slideshow.

    Everything was working prior to the upgrade.

    The imagerotator.swf is targeted with the correct full URL under Options > Slideshow. The CHMOD settings are correct as far as I can tell, 755 for all associated folders.

    WP 2.8.3
    NGG 1.3.5

    Can someone help out here or point to a solution?

    Same problem here, with WP 2.8.3, NGG 1.3.5, no slideshow, just a white square in its place. Please, help...
    @steve49589, how did you solve it?

    @alexrabe

    Thanks for the reply, but I'm thinking there may have been a server problem when you checked the page. I'm still having the exact same issue.

    I've had to remove all of my slideshows except for the one on this page at the bottom of the page.

    http://brownstonepark.com/activities/scuba-diving/

    Note I have included a single pic at the top, then a gallery below the text and a slideshow beneath that. The slideshow is not working.

    Thanks in advanced for helping with this.

    I've been using NGGallery for years, and this problem happened after upgrading to WP 2.8.3. Will installing 2.8.4 help my case? Anybody knows?

    My CHMOD settings are 755, I also checked Alex Rabe's faq #5 and the line is in place... Still no slideshows... and they were working fine before the update...

    Here's a link to my Gallery page in case anyone wants to help. It's one of our school's teacher's blog:

    Client site also has this problem after the most recent update.

    LGNC site gallery

    I did make sure that the image rotator file was in the right place and the path was properly defined in gallery admin. No love.

    Updating to 2.8.4 has made the slideshow stop working in Firefox for me...

    Same here. My issue happened after the upgrade and I've checked CHMOD and location of image rotator file. It was working, now busted. Note in this example...

    http://brownstonepark.com/activities/scuba-diving/

    The single image works, the gallery works, but the slideshow does not.

    I AM seeing the slideshow on the page you link to above CORRECTLY DISPLAYING. I can tell that you are using different transitions between pictures.

    So you seem to be good to go?

    Did you change/fix something?

    OK - this is strange. My slideshow IS working on an old version of IE6, but I can't check other browsers from here.

    Consider the issue still open and a problem. My main browser is FF 3.0.13

    I have a similar issue - as in the slide show widget works fine on the homepage but simply shows a white square on the rest of the pages in internet explorer (7), and only shows on the homepage in firefox and then disappears completely on the rest of the pages in firefox (3.013) - as the site has gone live I don't want to post the url - happy to PM or email the link if anyone thinks they can help.

    Cheers

    Hmm, I originally only checked it in firefox 3.0.13, working fine in IE, now that I've checked. In firefox it stalls at the first photo and sits and spins.

    It's dosen't work on Explorer on PC and FireFox and Safari on Mac... The trouble it's not from browser...

    It's realy from the Wordpress update... I'm sure about that now!

    Has anyone resolved this issue? I'm working on a new site and have the other features of the plug-in working fine, but I want to use the slideshow in the sidebar on the home page.

    Problem still exists. This is NOT resolved.

    The following page displays properly in IE 6, but not current browsers. Look at the slide show at the bottom of the page. This page uses placement if a single picture, the gallery (both work) and the slideshow (does not wor).

    Alexrabe - any ideas?

    I am having a similar problem.
    Using WordPress 2.8.4 and NextGEN Gallery Version 1.3.5.

    A slideshow will display only on the home page at http://childdiscoverycenter.dreamhosters.com/. But the slideshow will not display on http://childdiscoverycenter.dreamhosters.com/family-team/, or any other page.

    I think it is a CSS issue.

    element.style {
    visibility:visible;
    }
    #so1_1 {
    visibility:hidden;
    }

    For some reason the visibility for the slideshow object is turned off in #so1_1, then is not turned back on in element.style.

    The visibility works on the home page, but not for any other page. Using Firebug in Firefox, it shows that the element.style visibility is set to hidden on the home page in a file called childdiscoverycenter.dreamhosters.com, and on the Family Team page in a file called family-team. What are these pages?

    Changing visibility in my theme style sheet makes no effect.

    Anyone have any ideas why the slideshow is visible on the home page, but no other page?

    I had to fire my host last Sunday and have been moving my sites over to a new server. I made no changes what-so-ever and when I got the site up and running on the other box, my issue went away.

    I have no idea what it could be, but call my issue resolved for now. I'm sorry I am unable to provide any assistance.
