Since 2.8 was released, there has been three updates - to frequent for my taste.
Why are updates so frequent? Don't you have a policy on how often WP should be updated?
How often are new versions released? To often? (2 posts)

Yes there is a policy, but people creating malicious hacks tend not to stick to the timelines. It's inconvienient of them for sure, you would think that they would release their cracks just before WordPress is due to release its next version, so that the security fixes could be included, but, hmm, they don't.
Or, in other words, the last couple of updates have been important security patches.
