I started with Hybrid for a wordpress site I was building for a Doctor to support his patients with information. I absolutely love it. I've built a few child themes based on it as a framework now and the more I work with it, the more I love it. Now, I'm building my second child theme based on Hybrid for a WPMU community that I am building. I will build a different child theme for every site in the community and I will be using hybrid for the framework for all of them. LOVE IT!

Sadly, on WPMU 2.7.1 activating the Hybrid theme will result in a major breakige of the blog. Everything goes blank.

Even the back end is no longer accessible so had to rename the theme dir to get everything up and running again fast.

Using Hybrid 0.6.1 and WPMU 2.7.1.

Any idea what is going wrong?

A white screen means an error. Did you check your error logs to see what it says?

that would be my first action, where it not that my provider does not allow me acces to server error logs (just access and mail logs)... i could activate some of the fancy error reporting plugins around but i fear to do that on a live mu install.

i realize that there is not much to go on this way. just hoped someone else had similar experience. maybe it is one of the plugins already activated: yarp, wp-spamfree, lightbox2 or anything running in mu-plugins like wp-super-cache, anarchy-media-player, sitewide-tags, rafik_ga or twitterbot?

i am going to attempt an upgrade to wpmu 2.8.4a tonight and see if hybrid still acts up... will report later :)

wow, that automatic upgrade feature in mu works like a charm, and fast too ;) so here is my result:

in WPMU 2.8.4a both hybrid and hybrid-news work perfectly! phew...
