    Hello WP community –
    I’m new to WP & could use some input – this is my url & progress so far ;
    http://heartlessnotartless.com/

    I’m on a Mac w/ firefox as main browser. Using WP 2.8, sharpfolio theme, lightbox 2 & add lightbox plug-ins active and I’m just not understanding the lightbox work flow ;
    1. where exactly do I add the rel=”lightbox” attribute?

    2. what link url do I place in the edit image > link url?

    I don’t need galleries or slideshows – just one image per a post at a time.

    Thanks in advance – Johnny

  • 1 – Lightbox does it for you, which is why your image will show a lightbox when you click on it.

    2 – Whatever link you want the picture to link to?

    3 – Then only post 1 image in your post…? And/or use a theme specifically for photographers/photobloggers/etc

    First thanks so much for the reply Miss SwtAngst. I don’t think I was specific enough though. If one looks @ my site;

    http://heartlessnotartless.com

    you will see my light box effect only works vertically, horizontally the light box frame fill the entire browser window. Obviously I’m not doing something right.
    my work process so far is;
    a – upload image from desktop
    b – fill out title & caption info
    c – click the file url button
    d – alignment = none, size = medium
    e – insert post

    Any insights from anyone would be appreciated & as always thanks in advance.

    Since the lightbox is working, you’re doing everything right as far as adding it to the page goes.

    None of the modifications that you do to the photo in the Add Media window will affect the lightbox CSS behavior.

    There is probably some conflict between your CSS & the lightbox’s CSS.

    To test that, you could simply rename your theme’s css to style_temp.css or something and then try the lightbox again to see if it’s built-in CSS will behave properly. If it does, then you have something in your theme CSS that is conflicting with it and making it act weird.

    yes – turns out to be a conflicting CSS code. I ended up turning off the add lightbox plug in also. Thanks again.
