Currently using Fatcow as a host.
Wordpress installed fine, wp-config.php is configured correctly. The site works fine sometimes, but more often than not, I get an "Error establishing a database connection." What can I do to figure out what the problem is?
make sure the mysql server is running properly and there is no downtime

Well I'm assuming that it's downtime. It goes on and off so frequently, though, so how would I really know?
How would I check if the server is running properly?
If it's going up and down, then chances are it's a server problem. If it were an incorrect setting, then you would just get it all the time.
