   Hi

   I've been hunting all over for a definitive answer to this question but still cannot find one so I'm hoping someone can set me straight.

   Within wp-content/plugins I've read that all folders should have permissions set to 755.

   However, my question is, should all plugin files within those folders be set to 644 as that is my understanding from my research. Can anyone confirm this for me please?

   Depends on the plugin. There are 1 or 2 that may require write access to something like an .htaccess file in their own plugin folder. But other than that, 644 on all plugin files has always worked for me.
