   Hello, i am trying to update my WordPress from version 2.8.5 to 2.9.2 and something keeps going wrong. I use an english version of WordPress which i have localized using an MO file and the settings in wp-config.php.

   I tried the fr_FR and en_US automatic updates from the wordpress dashboard and both present the same problem. Once the update is done, my dashboard gets all messed up and i get errors messages before the dashboard!? Here are the messages:

   The errors literally appear before the dashboard. In other words, when the page loads, all i see are the errors and i have to scroll down to get to the (messed up) dashboard. I have screenshots but am not sure how to display them in this forum... The weird thing is that the actual blog works fine even after the update.

   Assuming you've backed up your files (see WordPress Backups) I'd delete the wp-content/themes/metro_10 folder and see if that fixes your problem.

   Then put the theme back up to your host to see if the problem persists.

   I just found the fix in the StudioPress forum. The post_templates.php of my StudioPress theme simply needed to be updated first.

   You need to change the line:

   $template_data = implode( '', file( WP_CONTENT_DIR.$template ));

   with

   $template_data = implode( '', file( $template ));
