“posted by” customizing

    On the blog where it says “Posted By”…where can i edit each post’s author. I want each post to say “Posted By” and then each post have a different user name.

    On a side note, how can I edit the URL of the archives? The default link is missing a / . If i add the slash manually in the URL it works. Thanks!

    If you don’t want to show the real user names, I suggest saving whatever “user name” you want into each post’s custom fields using a field name like ‘__username’ and then editing the template to show this very custom field (see Codex to learn how to query them) instead of the real post author.

    I’ve searched the Codex custom fields, but am unsure of where to put the new php. Any ideas?
