[Plugin: Hackadelic SEO Table Of Contents] Blank content for longer pages (7 posts)

I like this nice plugin, but there is a strange error in long pages more than cca. 12500 characters. In that case I get a page with no content, looks like a page with no text inside. If I cut the length, at about 12500 characters all come back like normal.

    What to do now?

    WP 2.8, 2.8.1, Toc 1.6.0

An other thing: There is no result of the title="TOC title etc." tag. There is no title at all. Default title is working.

Yes, you may right - even if this error is exist.

I was not aware that WP's counter count in words not characters. So now I repeat the thing using your dummy text.

    See the results:

    A. A 13452 words long page - there is no generated content.

    B. A 12971 words long page - it is just reach the limit, generated normal. It is about 88-89000 characters, and 732 paragraph. I have no exact method to measure it, I used Notepad++ and OpenOffice.

    C. A 12963 words long page - it is somewhat smaller becouse I used a class in the shortcode. It is almost the same in charaters, about 88000.

So, first of all, I apologize for the misleading data. But it is not a rumor, it is a fact.

    Please check it again.

It may be a fact, but another one than initially stated. The initial statement was a rumor. ;-)

    I'll check it out.

I checked and disproved it again! ;-)

No, really, there is a problem with huge posts and shortcodes in general, but it doesn't have anything to do with my plugin. I just posted about it in more detail.

Thank you for the quick help.

We can say, it is resolved - in this tread at least. However, I think it is better to let it "not resolved" until WP will not correct the problem.

Banyay, I'd like to ask you to set it to "resolved". It's not an issue with this plugin. If you want the issue announced, submit it under a different topic.

    Thank you.
