Hello,
I am new to Wordpress or blogs for that matter. I followed this http://geeksaresexy.blogspot.com/2006/06/installing-wordpress-locally-under.html to set up a blog using wordpress on my local machine. How do I host it on an intranet? The intranet has a Microsoft 2003 server with IIS.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
on what intranet?
your question isnt a wordpress question; its a hosting question. and honestly, it sounds like you dont have any idea what you are trying to do.
the intranet isnt a box running an os (as you suggest), its a network behind a dmz. that box might be one of many behind the dmz. or it may not.
assuming you have you hosting environment set up properly, than wordpress is just as accessible to anyone on your local network as anything else running on the web server.

Sorry for sounding idiotic, but what I meant was that I am currently working on my home PC and access the blog through http://localhost/wordpress/
What I wanted help on was how to transfer it to my server at work. We have a local network and a server 2003.

assuming you have enough content to justify that.
if you dont have any real content, then its MUCH simpler to just install wordpress on that other box, and start fresh.
