• This plugin which worked fine for a long time, at some point in the last several months (I didn’t notice, GAH!) began creating a fatal error that was even affecting the blog display with the error message. When I deactivated it, that solved the problem. When I attempted to auto-update this plug with the notice on the plugins page, it gave me this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 46080 bytes) in {path here...}wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 5092

I don’t understand. This blog is ridiculously small. It’s had all of 15 posts on it? Any clues here? Thanks so much.

  • same exact thing happened to me today. I couldn’t access any part of my blog suddenly. Renamed its plugin folder to deactivate it the the blog worked. Don’t know why either, but also don’t care, I’m scared off by this plugin forever now esp. since there are many alternatives for backup!!
