   I wasted quite a bit of time on wp-e-commerce and wanted to make sure eShop could meet my needs before putting too much time into it. I can't locate any detailed documentation, so I am resorting to posting here in hopes someone will know something.

   1) I need to be able to add an in-stock quantity to the product drop down. For example, I have four small t-shirts and five medium t-shirts and the cart must be capable of acknowledging the limited stock and preventing sales when the stock is depleted.

   2) Does eShop permit the use of physical credit card machines? Meaning is their a payment option for the customer to submit their card number, cv code and expiration date?

   I think that's about it for now...

   1) no only basic stock control is available, stock quantity is currently per product, not per option.

   2) no, eShop doesn't handle that, but it can be done via Paypal.

   Ok, then sadly eShop is not for me either.

   A note on PayPal...PayPal does not permit the use of credit card machines (at least as far as I know), so that is not a viable option for those that have actual machines.

   YAK supports manual credit card entry. Basically the customer enters their credit card number, basic validation is performed, and then the data is stored. Once you fulfill the order, the credit card data is blanked out from the db, so it doesn't comprise too much of a security risk). It also handles per-option quantity.

   Hmmmmm. Sounds like a viable option. I'll download and check it out. :)
