I've just upgraded to 2.8 and cannot believe the way the dashboard has been butchered.
Is this the way it's supposed to look?
Do I have to downgrade in order to get it looking like it was in 2.7?

Posted 4 months ago #No. It's not supposed to look like that. Seems to be a css-problem. Check if you uploaded all wordpress core-files correctly. Best to reupload everything.

Also have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
