• First, let me say that I LOVE this plugin. It’s fast and gorgeous, which is a lot more than I can say about the WordPress Gallery Slideshow, which I have been using.

But.. myself and my readers prefer having a slideshow displayed with the gallery below it. So if they don’t have time to sit through the slideshow, they can just quickly scan their eye across the gallery.
Plus, the captions don’t show on this plugin, whereas they do beneath each photo in the built-in gallery. This is key for me.

So my question is – is it possible to edit this script so that it’s triggered from the [slide] shortcode rather than the [gallery] shortcode? I searched the scripts and couldn’t even see a reference to [gallery], so I’m not sure how it’s currently being triggered.. but then I’m not a programmer!

    Thanks very much.

Not getting any response to this query for a month, I wrote to the developer directly. He replied that he would be happy to make this change for me for only $100! Ouch.

I obviously value my time more than you do, what’s ouch about that?

One of the many beauties of free software is this: you’re very welcome to have anyone else update the plug-in for you, or to do it yourself.

Feel free to submit your improvements so everyone else can benefit from them too.
