Hi all,
I tried putting one site on the 2.8.1-dev version and was able to download the nightly build one time, but since then when I try to get the latest build (automatically) I get this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2352498 bytes) in /XXX/YYY/wp-includes/http.php on line 1331
(XXX/YYY replaces the real path info for this example)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Fixed it. I had to deactivate all of the plugins (again) and then the upgrade worked.
Wow, I hope this gets sorted out. I know that WP can't possibly test every plugin with the newest version every night, and I know plugin developers have plenty of time to be on the development track and test their plugins, but the bottom line is that if people's sites are going to become unstable due to an upgrade that really has nothing more than extra bells & whistles, it would be better not to upgrade. 2.7.1 was absolutely fine and I have never seen an upgrade cause the number of problems that 2.8 has. In the long run, people will blame Wordpress and will not want to use it.
