I just installed WordPress 2.8 on my server which I also recently set up. It's PHP (5.2.10, I believe) and MySQL on top of IIS 6.

Some features don't seem to be working, like moving around columns, regardless of the web browser I use.

Further, posting is painful. The text input box appears to have no text in it. You can type in it, but nothing shows up until you highlight the box. Then you can read the text. Again, regardless of web browser.

    The Title box is okay.

Did I break something somehow? Am I missing a PHP extension or something?

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem?

Wordpress or PHP? No, to both, but it's something to try. (At least, as many of the PHP plugins that I *can* disable, heh.)

I, too, am experiencing the blank post page after updating, and switching from visual to html does not seem to refresh it. Happens in IE8, FF 3.5, and Chrome 2.01..
Also when the one time it did show up, from changing to html from visual layout, as soon as I changed back to visual, all the html code was visible..

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

    - renaming the plugins folder via FTP

    - reading http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132
