A Very Interesting Near-Disaster (2 posts)

    Here's what I did:

    Migrated from a blogspot blog to a self-hosted install of WordPress;
    imported 1237 posts dating back to April 2004.

    When I checked in a browser, the layout had been absolutely smashed (javascript elements, especially) (you can see an image of a busted page here). {Note - I can't post images here}.

    I decided to open one apparently-stuffed post to try and fix it, and when I opened it in FCKEditor everything appeared fine.

    So I went 'View Post, and Presto... the post was perfectly fine (you can see an image of the unbusted page here).

    I have now done that with five or six posts, and every single time, simply opening the post in FCKEditor (making no changes) and republishing, fixes the problem.

    Long story even longer: ifyou've recently imported from Blogger an your poss seem to be irretrievably busted when viewed in a browser, just open them in FCKEditor and hit 'Update post'... if you're as lucky as me, that post will then be fixed.

    Now I just have to do another ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY posts...

    Cheers

    GT
