   Hi Guys,
   I am very new to wordpress, I downloaded 2.7 and immediatly 2.8 came out.
   So I clicked the button that said 'upgrade'...well, the widgets on my theme are not working...the only one that works is the text & catagory widget (and there seems to be 3 permanent widgets that are not on my dash - 'Archives', 'Categories' & 'Recent Posts'.
   With all the issues I have read about I am not sure if it is a prob with my theme or with 2.8?

   I was going to download WordPress 2.8.1 Beta 2...would this fix it and where do I download this file to?

   any other hints? about the widgets?
