My webverger upgraded me to 1.5 from an earlier version. It’s working great. Between the whitelist and the blacklist, spam never slips through. But I’m still get a good number of false positives for moderation. WP is catching comments from individuals who have commented before (and therefore have been previously approved). It is not catching every comment; just some comments. As far as I can tell, their comments do not contain whitelist words. Here is my [Moderator correction– blacklist]:

    adipex
    advicer
    ambien
    bllogspot
    vioxx
    carisoprodol
    casino
    casinos
    baccarrat
    cialis
    cwas
    cyclen
    cyclobenzaprine
    discreetordering
    dutyfree
    fioricet
    incest
    levitra
    macinstruct
    meridia
    gambling
    paxil
    celebs
    poker
    poze
    prescription
    slot
    taboo
    teen
    tramadol
    spa
    ultram
    viagra
    xanax
    zolus
    chatroom
    holdem

Any ideas about what might be wrong? TIA.

It’s often the small words. Words like spa or teen, when appearing as part of another word (asparagus, teeny), send a comment to moderation.

I hope you mean that’s your blacklist. Because if that’s your whitelist and the opposite is in your blacklist, then that’s where you troubles are. Your whitelist should be the words you want to allow. Your blacklist should be the words you want to block.

Oops. I got my terminology wrong. I thought the whitelist referred to the list that catches posts for moderation. When I refer to the blacklist I am referring to the nuke list.

I’ll go through the moderation list and delete any small words and see what happens. Thanks.
