   I went to update my WordPress to 2.8.4 using the automatic updater, and now I am getting the following error:

   Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: translations in /homepages/7/d88278368/htdocs/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 407

   I cannot do ANYTHING at this point, as this error comes up. My site is still in "maintenance mode".

   Can anyone help?

   I should add that my husband was able to update his site yesterday with no issue using the same method.

   Thank you so so so so so much! It turns out that I also had an old version of Askimet. I restored my webpage from my backup files, fixed the issue with Askimet, then did the automatic update, and everything went perfectly! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
