OK I solved this. It's something to do with the player.swf file that gets distributed with the plugin being incompatible/out of date.

Download the latest version of the JWPlayer from the web site, copy the file named player.swf and overwrite the player.swf that is contained within plugins/wordtube folder in your Wordpress installation.

Can't believe such a fundamental error has not been picked up by the developer to be honest but there you go, fixed it after a week of pissing around!

Hi, I am having the same problem. I use Wordtube version 2.2.2 and Wordpress 2.8.

I both used JW player 4.2 and the latest 4.5. With both the thumbs are not working, though I am pointing to the wp-content/uploads map where I store the thumbs.

Is it maybe a resize problem? Does is resize automatically.

I hope someone can help me.

    Thanks in advance.

I am having this problem with Wordpress 2.8.4 and LW Player 4.5. I've replaced the player with one in the JW download with no luck.

I had this problem too, until I found out that one of the links pointing to the image file was wrong. When I fixed this link the problems were gone, it seems wordtube cannot handle broken links to images when used as a thumb. Hope this helps for others as well.
