yy6yThis is first time I use wordpress. It's giving me all kind of troubles upon installation.
Right now I have installed XAMPP and wordpress according to the direction successfully.
On the step where I entered the address to http://localhost/wordpress/install.php
It brought me directly to that page, I entered the desired name and my email, clicked install button.
The problem is that this page took forever to load. I'm using firefox browser, and the browser says "waiting for local host..."
after about half hours of waiting I got frustrated and clicked that install button again, the page suddenly changed saying that I have already installed wordpress. It never gets to the second page where I am suppose to enter my user name and password.
I am able to see my blog front page when I type in the url address. However I do not know what my password is when I try to log onto admin page. I tried finding password. Entered my email address into that box. The dreadful long wait start up again, saying "waiting for local host..." I clicked on get new password button many times, but nothing happens, no password given to me or sent to my email whatsoever.
Anyone know what's going on with that long wait? Anyone has any solution on how should I retrieve my password in order to log into admin page and start working on my blog?
