I did the following:
Deactivated plugins.
Deleted all files and folders from old wp-admin and wp-includes folder.
Extracted 2.8.1 and uploaded w/ ftp the contents of wp-admin and wp-folders.
Didn't do anything to my old wp-content folder.
got this error:
Fatal error: Class 'Translations' not found in /home/p14l39fs/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 408
In the wp-includes folder I do find a translations.php file...
and I notice there's no longer reference to "languages."
Please advise.... suggestions?
Thank you.
its not asking for a file, its asking for a class thats defined in a file.
You did not properly upload the sudirectories inside wp-includes/
Specifically, the pomo directory.

Thanks for the reply.
Inside wp-includes, there is a pomo folder.
Files there include:
translations.php
streams.php
po.php
mo.php
entry.php
What did I do wrong. How shall I fix it?
thanx again.
