    Hello friends.

    i got a wordpress blog, and it was running pretty fine till yesterday,
    Today when i accessed it, and wanted to see few pages back it showed me error, then i tried to view posts all posts showed error… i logged into my wp-admin cp, there i can see all posts, every thing seems fine, i tried repairing my wordpress db via cpanel/phpmyadmin.. but still no sucess…

    the error message i get exactly is :

    Not Found

    The requested URL /post/testpost/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.9 Server at mysite.com Port 80

    Once again, when ever i click on some post, category, previous pages etc i get same error, but in wp-admin cp every thing seems fine, i just upgraded to latest wp… but no success..

  • Hi,

    Sorry if this isn’t very helpful but I would suggest asking your web host. When I get error messages like this I always ask them first because sometimes its a security issue on the server or similar. It may not be in this case but I would say ask them if you haven’t already.

    okay… solved..

    it was .htaccess (it was not writable..) i chmoded to 777 as i had made custom perma link structure..

    thanks anyways..
