    In the days before I moved to Wordpres I used html and with this I used a meta tag.

    The question is can I still use this in wordpress and where and which do I put them in?

    You should download the “All in one seo” and activate it, this will ad the fields on the posts and also pages..

    Make sure to go to settings also and fill out the Description and keywords for you site too. that is for the homepage.

    Also a good plugin to use is “robots meta” it is a bit more geeky but will guide you through some good SEO measures 🙂

    Or if you want to do it manually you can go to dashboard, design > Theme Editor, then select header template and add your meta tags in between <head> tags.
    It will be always loaded in your blog and you can use SEO plugins to customize your every single post differently for example add more key words specific to the particular article.
