Recent nightmare! :.(
for some reason as i try to add a media (any) to a post the screen turns grey and a little loading bar with lines moving across it comes up and then a log in page appears? when i try to log in with my password and name both entry bars just turn empty again and nothing happens and i still cant load any media???
ppppppppllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help
urgently need to add some stuff i said i was going to add

Downgrade to wordpress 2.7.1 if you've recentrly upgraded to 2.8
It seems that 2.8 is VERY buggy.

Im on that one now, the strange thing is that it worked yesterday?
iv just changed my front page to a static page, but could add media to that???
but now cant do anything else???
Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if that resolves the problem?

Mine also worked the first dai I upgraded to wordpress 2.8, then bang, nothing worked. It seems that there is no Javascript on the admin panel. Now, I've downgraded to wordpress 2.7.1, the problem persists. It's a really bad bug on wp 2.8. Try looking at other forum posts here, you'll see others complaining about the same thing.

Nobody know yet how to solve that prob. Not yet anyway. Wait and see if a patch is released soon. I have a feeling WP 2.8.1 is around the corner :P
