    Hello Everyone!

First of all, the theme I am currently using is Simple Chrome 1.0.1.

Ok, so I made a landing page and I just named it “Welcome.” Then I went to “Settings” > “Reading” and made the welcome page the front page. Then I made a page and titled it “Entries” (because if I named it ‘blog,’ that would be a redundant URL – http://www.breannagaddie.com/blog/blog ..haha) Ok, so under “Reading Settings,” I have the page to be “Entries,” as it should be. Now I’m realizing that I have a “Home” Tab AND a “Welcome” tab and they both go back to that landing page. Is there a way not to have 2 tabs or what do you suggest?

    http://www.breannagaddie.com/blog – landing page
    http://www.breannagaddie.com/blog/entries – blog page

    Thanks,
    ~Breanna

  • Hi Breanna,

I recommend the Exclude Pages from navigation plugin. Looks like it will fit your needs.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks, it looks like this might work.

However, I’m having problem installing this particular plug-in. I downloaded the plug-in, extracted the files, FTP’d that folder to wp-contenr/plugins. When I go to my dashboard to the plug-ins menu to the “Installed” section, it doesn’t show up. I click “Add new” and it says it’s already installed. For it work, the plug-in needs to be activated, but it seems my dashboard plug-ins menu isn’t seeing it. Advice?

    Thanks!

I would delete the entire plugin folder from your FTP, refresh your plugins page, and re-upload the folder. It’s possible that something went wacky (though unlikely).

I didn’t see that you were using 2.8. I haven’t upgraded yet, there could be a compatibility issue.

Here’s another plugin you can try also.

I just installed wordpress.org on Friday, so I believe I am using 2.8.

Apparently, you have to upload just the .php file into wp-content/plugins (I was doing the whole folder.).

It works! That’s just what I needed (The first plugin – “Exclude Pages”). Thanks!
