I previously had version 2.8 and could see and use the text editor sporting it's new numbered lines and syntax highlighting. however I did an upgrade to version 2.8.1 and I see it is no longer there. Looks to be back to the original style plain text editor. Is this a mistake or did I upgrade wrong? i tried an auto and manual upgrade. Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the theme and plugin editor? I just upgraded a test site from 2.8 to 2.8.1 and mine is gone as well. I think there were some bugs in it, so I'm assuming it was removed in 2.8.1

Posted 2 years ago #Ah man, I found the same happened to me. It was such a cool addition too, and I had not experienced any bugs. An I used it quite a bit a few weeks back.
