evossmanLet me first say that the GD Star plugin is quite impressive. For a free plugin, with a whole users manual, I feel bad asking for more help. However, I have been struggling to get it to work. Has someone put together a step by step guide to simply getting it to work (and yes I've read every single bit of tutorial on the site.) I would say my wordpress and php apptitude is above what most users of the plugin would be, however, I'm having the following issues and haven't been able to find the answers through trial and error or reading all the documentation from the site.
First off, I'm using php 5+ and wordpress 2.8 with the most recent GD Star Rating release.
When I first loaded the pluging and tried to set multi ratings etc, I received an error related to t2/render.php etc, I've seen others on this forum with it. It turned out I needed to create templates for all 22 defaults and then set to default. Not bad, although my guess is this is suppossed to happen automatically and it didn't.
Next thing a tried to do was insert the rating code into the post by using the shortcode. I tried every single shortcode and none of them would work. They would all output snippets of code to the page and the pagesource would say "style="display:none">UA:1.4.4........blah blah
Should it be this hard?
Any help would be great.
