Hi. I've recently upgraded to Wordpress 2.8. When I was still using 2.7, the video quicktags worked fine. However, when I upgraded to 2.8, the video quicktags just stopped working. I've tried reinstalling Wordpress, disabling all other plugins, but it just doesn't work. Help?

Odd, it's working perfectly for me.

Is there anything I can do to help you analyze this?

Yes, you can provide more details (what do you mean by "just stopped working"?), disable all plugins (really make sure they're all off), and switch to the default theme.

I've done that, and it still isn't working. What it's doing is creating the space needed for the video (I'm using .avi, so it uses WMP), but it'll be blank, no Windows Media Player will show up, but the white space where the video player is supposed to be is there. I hope I am being clear.

It works here, but the buttons doesn't work after upgrading to wp 2.8, they show up and everything, but when clicked nothing happens. In ie8 "Error on Page" comes at the bottom where it says javascript; when clicked. So for now i write the bbcode myself on each post.(tested in FF and ie)

Oh, I thought you were trying to do YouTube or something.

AVI support is iffy at best. There's no good way to embed non-Flash video files into a web page and have it work in all browsers and operating systems that I've found.

In short, convert it to FLV or upload it to YouTube.

It's worked before the update though, and I have around 6 Gigs of AVIs already on the server.

Well, I didn't change anything. Not sure what's up.
