(Fairly new to Wordpress) Cannot get Themes or Plugins to install (2 posts)

    Everytime I try to install a new theme or to install a plugin, I get this error message:

    Unable to create directory /var/www/html/malzbergforamerica.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Why does this happen?
