• How translate email form?
    When I change

    $spamfree_contact_form_content .= ‘<p><label>Message *
    ‘.”\n”;

    (Message) at the equivalent in my language in wp-spamfree.php, my wordpress site do not want open. When i back (ctrl-z) my changes and save wp-spamfree.php file, it’s not help. I must reload copy wp-spamfree.php then i can open my site.
    How translate wp-spamfree email form, and why i have problem with open my site after the change Subject, Message, Required Field, etc. in wp-spamfree.php

  • Hey Maestro, what program are you using to edit it? I’d recommend doing it offline and keeping a backup of your original file.

    Officially we don’t provide support for hacking the plugin, but being that we don’t yet have a version in your language, I’ll do my best to help out here.

    You should just be able to change the word you want, and save your file, then upload it.

    If you have a backup you can also edit it through the WordPress admin, although that is riskier.

    FYI, we are working to have internationalization options available for the plugin in a couple months.

    Nice to read that. Internationalization options are a must, as there are big non-english communities. To have it in mind when coding, just to place the proper translation functions in place is really easy.

    I run some blogs in languages other than English, and hack the plugin to translate the contact form strings is a bad idea, as I loose them any time an update is available.
