Looking at your blog, it appears that you are getting the error “Error establishing a database connection.” I would suggest looking at your wp-config.php file to verify that your mysql database connection information is correct. If you are not sure what your connection information should be, I would then suggest contacting your hosting company for this information.
In regards to transferring a zip file to your blog account, here are two ways of getting the zip of wordpress 2.8.1 onto your wordpress account:
1) FTP -you can use ftp to connect and transfer the file to your blog hosting account. If you do not know these credentials, I would suggest that you request this from your host company
2) SSH – If you have shell access to your blog account, you can just run the following while you’re within your home directory:
wget http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.1-beta1.zip
