2.8 plugin upgrade problrem

    Hi,
    I am trying to upgrade plugins with WP2.8 and I get this error using the automatic upgrade tools.

    Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content).

    I use an ssh connection to my server. This facility worked fine with WP 2.7.1, and still works fine with other existing 2.7.1 blogs on the same server, and I have not changed any settings, just upgraded to WP2.8 (by overwriting WordPress directory manually).

    Does anyone have any ideas for things to look at?

    Upload all your files again… basically run the upgrade again, then make sure your files and directories have sufficient permissions. Before doing the upgrade again, rename the plugins folder. Many of the problems that occur at the time of an upgrade happen because of outdated plugins or themes.

    I will still suggest a manual upgrade. Go to the site, download the latest package and upgrade manually..
