• hi,

I realized that because wordpress uses php includes everywhere my relative links aren’t working. Is there some way I can make them work? If I could at least find where my wordpress created pages are stored I could look at that to figure it out. any help you can give would be greatly appreciated

    Stan

WordPress doesn’t “create” your pages anywhere. The pages you see are created on the fly, when you ask for them.

Relative links are not recommended because of the way that content can appear in multiple places on your site. Use absolute links instead.

    thanks that helps!

A lot of people say relative links don’t work with wordpress. All pages are created on the fly, but they are planted in the root directory so relative links will work just fine. Let’s say you want to create a link to your sitemap page. http://www.yoursite.com/sitemap/. You would put in the link tags href=”http://www.yoursite.com/sitemap/”, this relative link will also work: href=”/sitemap/”. The browser will assume this link is coming from the root directory and will automatically plant in http://www.yoursite.com before the “/sitemap/”.
